Trevor Hall

Exhibitions Manager

Trevor manages the exhibitions programme and the gallery team. Trevor moved to Ilam from the UK where he held several senior gallery roles including Head of Technical and Production at the Lisson Gallery in London; Gallery Manager at the ICA (London); and Gallery Manager at the DCA (Dundee, Scotland). Before moving into gallery management, Trevor began his art career as an art handling technician at Tate Modern, Tate Britain, and the National Gallery in London. Trevor has managed and delivered exhibitions across Europe and North America, including London, New York, Milan, Cairo, Kyiv, and at the Venice Biennale. Trevor holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Post Graduate Diploma in Cultural Resource Management. He specialises in herding cats.

 

Harriet Boyle

Audience Engagement Coordinator

Harriet completed her Master of Arts (Education) at the University of Canterbury in 2020. Her research explored the intersection of gender, sexuality, education and dance in New Zealand High Schools. From 2020 to 2021, Harriet worked as the administrator for Rerenga Awa | Canterbury Youth Workers Collective, before returning to the University of Canterbury in the role of Administrator and Community Liaison for the School of Music and Fine Arts.

 

Claudia Long

Publications Co-ordinator

Claudia completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons), majoring in Design in 2022. Her practice involves exploring analogue graphic design production and print methods and employing these techniques in her own work. She takes inspiration for her printed outcomes from the psychedelic styles of 1970’s counterculture. While this manual approach to graphic design takes time and patience, Claudia finds the results rewarding and enjoys the time away from the MacBook.

 

Sang Kyu Moon

Designer

Sang Kyu is currently in the final year of his Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) degree. He is a mixed media artist who often takes an illustrative and symbolic approach to his practice. He incorporates various traditional and digital techniques and materials to create his works.

 

Josephine Burrow

Technician

Josephine is currently in the final year of her Bachelors of Fine Arts (Hons) degree, majoring in Sculpture. Her practice involves exploring synthetic and virtual culture’s approach to the body and social relations in contrast to how we oppreate in authentic and physical reality. She works primarily in fabric, soft materials, and digital video.

 

Sarah McGreevy

Technician

Sarah is currently in the final year of a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons), majoring in Film. Her work explores space and viewer interaction through experimental film. Incorporating installation as a fundamental element of her practice, she works with multi-channel video and projections.

 

Holly Payne

Technician

Holly is currently in the final year of her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) degree, majoring in sculpture. Working predominantly in mixed media, her practice employs materials and processes capable of momentary deception. She sources inspiration from social trends and climate change to mimic the way we think about the world and its resources.  

 

Toyah Jones

Photographer

Toyah is currently in the final year of a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Photography. Her work is research-led, often exploring Victorian culture and society. Taking inspiration from poetry, she aims to replicate the atmosphere and pacing of such texts.
