Student Series 2025

Breathe. Draw. Hold. Release

Claudia Du 新竹

Opening 5pm, Wednesday 13 August

Artist talk 12pm, Thursday 14 August

Welcome to the psychospatial pressure chamber.

Archery as ritual — Precision. Control. Surrender.

Power as relation —- Intent. Agency. Tension. Trust.

Perception. Objecthood. The porous line between observer and observed.

Tension as structure. Exposure as design.

Stand between action and consequence, gaze and impact. The space between screens is not neutral; it is a field of consent. You do not see both presence and aftermath—not at once. Looking is loss. Choose your position.

The arrow does not touch you. Or does it?

Hyperreal. Staged. Perceived.

Artist, work, viewer, this statement — no one is neutral.

What is not seen is not lost. It is enforced.

Objective and symbolic violence, disguised as form.

Stand in the gaze.

Decide whether to flinch. Or don’t.

Oscillate.
